With specific requirements and a tight relocation timeline, Yoma Bank worked with HCI to set up its corporate headquarters. HCI’s solution was a 6,698 sq m space at the Myanmar Centre Tower – strategically located in the heart of Yangon. The space was equipped with state-of-the-art security systems, customisable offices and 4,000 parking lots. “Tenants like Yoma Bank are not just great tenants to us, we love having them around and it’s a long term relationship for us,” says Le Thi Kim Hoa, the Sales and Marketing Director of HAGL Myanmar. “HCI’s extensive knowledge and connection with the local community is what sets them apart from others.”
As an exclusive advisor for Gloria Jean’s Coffees (Myanmar), HCI’s role was integral in the opening of its flagship café at the Myanmar Plaza. “Within a few days, the HCI team came back with options, and because of their efficiency and understanding of our requirement, the process was hazard-free, smooth and fast,” says George Latt, the CEO of Gloria Jean’s Coffees (Myanmar). HCI also enabled Gloria Jean’s Coffees to secure another ideal location – at the Junction Square Mall. “Without HCI’s help, we would have to settle for a place upstairs and I think it is a win-win situation for all of us,” George continues. “Others tend to lack the holistic outlook of the things here. That kind of relationship is hard to get.”
HCI is the leading leasing agent for Myanmar Centre and Myanmar Plaza, which are prominent and iconic Yangon landmarks owned by Vietnamese developer Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL). The developments comprise two office towers and five residential towers, which include serviced apartments. The total commercial leasing area for retail and office space comes up to 113,453 sq m. HCI has leased over 10,154 sq m of retail and commercial space for HAGL to both local and international organisations.
